For some, it may be voice—having more say in decisions that affect our community.
For others, it’s choice—the ability to help set local priorities.
It might be belonging—finding ways for our distinct communities to work together while maintaining their individual identities.
Or partnership—having a strong local voice working alongside the County, special districts, businesses, nonprofits and other regional partners.
These are some of the needs behind the effort to explore incorporation.
Creating a town isn’t the need itself. It’s one possible way to help meet those needs. That’s why this process matters: it gives our community the opportunity to learn what incorporation could make possible, ask hard questions, and ultimately decide whether it’s the right choice for our future.
